Day : 1 Bloggers meet-IBIS styles Goa

Hey Loves,

So now you all are well aware about the place where I stayed in Goa and why I loved it so much as I will suggest each one of you that if you planning for Goa either for vacations or for your honeymoon (Because shaadi season) or even for conferences IBIS styles is the best suited and at the most prime location of Goa. If you are a person who like to party and even if you like some time to spend with yourself , aloof then also North goa is the best suited place.

For party lovers , you can visit baga beach and can have the best time of your life with music and food also I saw some Poi happening there. And if you are someone who want to sit on the beaches and want to search for yourself and want to be with yourself quietly just with your deep thoughts then Anjuna beach and sequirm is the best places you can visit.

There are series of posts which will come up having my travel diaries on different days although I haven’t explored Goa much as I went there for work and bloggers meet but wherever I have visited I will include all of the places, food and fares as well as how to reach, what to shop etc.

Day 1 at Goa

So I have just landed and took around 1 hour 20 min drive to my hotel which was 45kms away from airport in North Goa and it costed me for Rs.1200/-. Yes I know quite expensive but this is the open rate for each and everyone approved by Taxi community and just to tell you that may be Goa have some quite inexpensive liquor shops but transportation and travelling via taxis is quite expensive. Coming back to my post as soon as I reached my resort I saw few of my bloggers were waiting for me. So I paced up and went straight to my room as I have to get ready for the meet.

Bloggers Meet & High-Tea

I wanted to meet all the bloggers who all are form Goa as I already told you in my last post I have Goa plans so that’s why I thought why not organize a bloggers meet at the same place and IBIS styles helped me in organizing the same.

I met bloggers of various genres like food, fashion and lifestyle. We have exchanged ideas as to how to build up our blogs and how one can be better in blogging.

After the talk session IBIS styles organized a small High-tea at their “Spice-It “ restaurant, where they have loaded us with various food items like :Chicken Cafreal bite , Goan village bite, samosas, nachos, marble cake, cookies , tea & coffee.

Dinner

After the meet we all were really exhausted and tired but IBIS styles gave us a s surprise by offering every blogger a complimentary stay at their property and dinner at “The Spice it” restaurant.  That was a rally sweet gesture from their side as we all wanted to talk more. So after resting a bit we all came down for dinner at “The Spice it” restaurant and ordered meal from there menu which included many Goan specialties as well as regular items.

What we ordered

Starters

So after taking lot of time we finally decided to order Chicken Meatball soup and nachos as we were already full after high-tea.

Main course

For main course we have ordered Chicken xacuti, paneer butter masala, mutton roganjosh, butter nan, Fish curry and rice. For fish curry they have used “Basa Fish” which is very soft and melts in mouth. Chicken xacuti is a Goan dish prepared with keeping its authentic taste in mind. All together Goans love coconut and they use this in every possible thing. Be it sweet or be it spicy. And you have to develop that taste otherwise you won’t like food much. I really loved diner it was authentic at the same time tasty and scrumptious .

For desserts

As I was in Goa so wanted to try authentic Goan dishes and desserts so I have ordered “Dodol” and everyone else ordered Brownie and Gulab jamun. Dodol’s main ingredients are rice flour, jaggery and coconut milk and it was having very coconut flavor and for liking it you definitely need to develop that coconut flavor in your taste bud.At last of this I would like to say a big thanks to Chef Rahul for treating us with the delicious food and services.

I also wanted to go to the beach at night but had no idea about the locality around it so I dropped my plan and we all chatted instead of roaming around. And also that foot massager helped us a lot in removing the tiredness from my feet.

Do wait for my next post which will include my Day-2 around at the calangute beach and also my yummylicious breakfast at “The spice it”.
